Happy Tuesday Y’all! I’m still half-asleep, so you only get one exclamation point.
Menswear isn’t an area that I typically talk about on my blog, because: a) I’m not a man; b) I don’t have sons; and c) I’m kinda “whatever” in this area. BUT, I do have a husband (who picks out his own clothes, because I’m all “whatever”) who just bought a very attractive new suit, and looks amaze in it. So, there’s that.
Men should justifiably own two well-fitting suits, at all times. One black, and one navy. And if you really want to get cray, another in gray. My handsome hubby had a few suits hanging back in the depths of his closet, but they were all “meh” and ill-fitting. It was time to go shopping. Here’s my theory (that cannot be proven, but I’m still confident): You primarily need a suit for 3 reasons: Weddings, funerals, and interviews. The rest of Y’all walking around in suits errryday, probably aren’t reading my blog, so there’s that.. Unfortunately, both my husband and myself, have had to pick out a suit and a dress for a funeral, while grieving. Not fun. And we learned our lesson. Better to be prepared. So here’s a nudge for you to go shopping! You’ll thank me the next time you’re staring at that wedding invitation, or trying to land that job (which you totally will!)
If you need a little help picking out the perfect suit, our dear friend Michael Gillespie, is a professional wardrobe stylist. He’s very talented, and a lot of fun to work with. He’s also a Costumer, and Casting Assistant for Tyler Perry Studios, so he’s kind of a big deal 😉 Contact: @gillespie.official.
